So to congratulate my little potty boy I planned a funfilled evening with him. We were going to go to McDonalds for his favorite dinner of french fries and chicken nuggets and then head over to Chuck E Cheese for some fun and games. Well I had to stop at the gas station and then get back on my street to head over to the library to return some severely overdue books when Albie started freaking out in the back seat thinking we were already going home. I explained to him that we were not going home just passing the house to go to the library. I told him we were going to the library 1st, then going to McDonalds and then going to Chuck E Cheese. He kinda chuckled to himself and when I asked him why he laughed he told me “That is a lot of going.” I about died laughing. This kid is getting to be too much. He sure surprises me everyday. We had a great time last night and look forward to doing something fun this weekend.
Well he did it. My lil man pee pee’d in the toilet this morning. He called me at work. This is the beginning. I’m not quite sure I’m ready for my baby to grow up but then again I guess this isn’t about me.
Congrats Albie… I love you!
So here I am minding my own business and working very very hard when I stop to tell my friend about my 2 year olds first joke. She talked me into starting a blog “to remember these types of things”. We were at the dinner table last night when my Albie said “Knock knock”. I wasn’t too sure where he was going with this but I answered “Who’s there?” To which he replied “Al” although it sounded more like Owww. I said “ow who” His answer? Alberts home. More like Abuts home but you get the jist.
Its hard to imagine that this little boy wasn’t even around two years ago and now he is telling me jokes. I don’t remember what it was like without him and ever since I met him I wouldn’t want to.
So here it is. My first blog entry. And it goes out to my gal Megs.
